The IronPigs are saddened to hear of Ryne’s passing. It was an honor to have Ryno as the IronPigs Manager in 2011 and 2012, which included the franchise’s first-ever playoff games. Our thoughts and prayers are with Margaret and the entire Sandberg family.

I have no knowledge of what the Cubs have planned for Friday's game in terms of a Ryne Sandberg tribute, however if you are planning on coming down for Friday afternoon's game, may I suggest leaving about an hour earlier than you planned to initially. It'll be crowded.

This is, and I do not say this lightly, one of the best ballparks I've ever been to, minor or major leagues and if you haven't made the trek to Fort Wayne for a game yet, I would highly recommend doing so.
