Together with Maxim Artyomov, we wrote a short blog post with the backstory of our itaconate-Prdx5 discovery. It allows a glimpse into how the story evolved over time and how we got here. communities.springernature.com/posts/itaconat…

incredible intellectual feast yesterday at the 50th anniversary of the WashU Medicine Genetics Dept, including historic overviews by formerly WashU's Eric Green and Bob Waterston, one of the key pioneers who made Human Genome project possible. (and then WashU sequenced 25%!)

I'm happy to present our new web-tool CORESH alserglab.wustl.edu/coresh/ for searching public gene expression datasets using gene signature as a query, developed by Vladimir Sukhov, which was just published in @NAR_open doi.org/10.1093/nar/gk… 1/n

С Днем Победы! Happy Victory Day! 2 out of 4 my greatgrandfathers died on the battlefield chasing Nazis away. Multiple branches of my family barely survived under occupation and carried the memory of it through generations. Вечная слава героям!

Even though tornado had bad enough impact to close WashU undergraduate campus for the events, including this year's national mathleague.org, organizers adapted and thanks to hospitality of the Ladue Middle school, the competition took place in time! Huge kudos to everyone's effort
