Zarah Sultana says she is an anti-Zionist and that members should fight for the party to be anti-Zionist. Jeremy Corbyn clapped enthusiastically. She then said that the Israeli ambassador should be expelled, the Israeli Embassy shut down, and that 'every inch' of Palestinian

Man, I really hate communism and Marxism. Anyway, I’m off to start a political party with Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana.

“A Your Party spokesperson defended the removals, saying: “The Revolutionary Communist Group have been aggressively confronting Jeremy for months, falsely accusing him of being a Zionist. Just as the chair of Zarah Sultana’s rally approved the expulsion of disruptors, organisers

I don’t think modern historians of British politics have grasped how much the lingering psychological trauma of Youth Conference 2016, Scarborough has actually impacted the modern politics of the British Left lmao

This is particularly mad when you realise that Jeremy's first appearance on the national stage was in late 1981 fighting Tariq's expulsion from the Labour Party due to him being a member of the International Marxist Group. Now he supports banning the Tariq's of the 21st century.

Radical abolitionist John Brown was executed on this day in 1859 for trying to spark a revolution to free millions held in bondage. “I have only a short time to live, only one death to die, and I will die fighting for this cause.”

There were so many other currents tho that were missed. Like all the grassroots movements, the partyist debates, the unity talks. You could have talked to your audience about what collective leadership means, engaged people on what a democratic party should look like.

‘Nationalise the economy’ might not be the best turn of phrase, but Sultana’s clarification, i.e the nationalisation of the commanding heights of the economy and worker control of the rest is a fine position to take. It’s confounding to see socialists objecting at this level. 1/2

I’m honestly surprised to hear a left-wing politician argue for an actual socialist transformation and not just a social-democratic welfare state.

the fact that corbyn allowed this reactionary landlord anywhere near a socialist project just speaks to how utterly weak he is in any leadership role.
