A slight correction to this post. Levy raised £259m more in FY24/25 (£4,100m) than FY23/24 (£3,841m). DfE budget in 24/25 is £2,729m some £220m more than spend on 23/24 of £2,509m. So extra expected levy £259m more than covered HMT’s extra funding to DfE of £220m
