We are excited to have Prof. Vivek Sharma Vivek Sharma this month for our Integrative Modeling in Biophysics e-series!! Tuesday 8 April , 5:30 PM IST (2:00 CEST, 7:00 AM USET) . For details about this series, visit: sites.google.com/view/mbu-infor… Anand Srivastava

Please Retweet! Molecular Biophysics Unit, IISc IISc Bangalore is organizing a 2-day national symposium (April 28-29) with "AI in biophysics" as its theme. You are cordially invited to attend this meeting!! Visit our (in progress) symposium portal for more details. sites.google.com/view/ai-in-bio…

A double header this week at the Molecular Biophysics Unit, IISc IISc Bangalore Bangalore!! Two PhD colloquium from our group this week! Irawati on Wednesday and Harini on Thursday. Very proud of these two finishing up their PhD with really good work during their PhD training time.

We Molecular Biophysics Unit, IISc are all set for the 2-day of talks and interactions with some of the "AI in Biophysics" experts around the country (28-29 April)!! If you are around IISc Bangalore campus, please feel free to attend. We will be happy to have you.

And it's a wrap for our "AI in Biophysics" IISc Bangalore !! We had 2 days of great talks, interactions and lots of new learning! Thanks to all the delegates, speakers, student volunteers, staff and my awesome colleagues Molecular Biophysics Unit, IISc who made this a meeting to remember. 😊Cheers!!

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join Computational Biology @IITGN group. The project involves network modeling of protein complexes. For more details and application form, please visit iitgn.ac.in/careers/staff

Our work appearing in JACS shows that just a 1% transient exchanging population gives versatility to the protein function, implying that protein dynamics shapes function and not just the static structure. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja… ACS Publications CCMB Global NMR Discussion Meetings J. Am. Chem. Soc.

Out now in Journal of Biological Chemistry! doi.org/10.1016/j.jbc.… We took a deep dive into the special molecular grammar of hnRNPA1-RGG that causes it to bind and help destabilize teleomeric RNA and DNA GQ. Kudos to Sangeetha, Irawati and Rajeswari for their creativity and unrelenting efforts.

Complex Fluid 2025 meeting announcement, IISc Bangalore campus. Also, do not forget to register for the pre-conference workshops. Gaurav Tomar (MechEngg) and I are putting together the "Computation and Modelling of Complex Fluids" hands-on modules for students/trainees.

New paper The Journal of Chemical Physics, based on previous theory (doi.org/10.1103/PhysRe…), with a new atomistic method for the viscosity of liquids: it allows one to compute the viscosity even near the glass transition, which earlier methods (Green-Kubo) can't achieve: 👉doi.org/10.1063/5.0272…
