It’s been a great week to start deployments of carbon fibre stereo BRUVs from Meeuwig lab @ExeterMarine that will allow us to not only determine species abundance and diversity but also accurately measure the size of species seen on camera 🦈 🐠 🦞 🦭

👏Congrats Vania Andreoli for the 2022 Robson and Robertson Award. Vania will visit the world-leading lab of nutrition and planetary health at the Harvard University School of Public health and incorporate more than 3,500 unique taxa and tens of nutrients in her PhD research.

Fieldwork has started in the Seychelles. PhD student Nico Fassbender, working with the Save Our Seas Foundation, will be shark tagging around D'Arros Island and Saint Joseph's Atoll this afternoon.
