Sequencing a genome is so much more than just sequencing and assembly, we demonstrate in our publication the European Reference Genome Atlas effort to contextualise samples and their metadata for comprehensive and fair biodiversity genomics nature.com/articles/s4418…

Our group leader José Melo-Ferreira presenting at #CICARC2024 the potential of genomics for application on wildlife and game species management. Exciting possibilities for integrating genomics into sustainable management strategies. #Genomics #Conservation European Reference Genome Atlas Biodiversity Genomics Europe (BGE)

At #CICARC2024, @jpnm shared an exciting Biodiversity Genomics Europe (BGE) case study developing a genomic application to support Iberian hare conservation facing the myxomatosis outbreak. A great step forward, enabling the engagement of key stakeholders. 🐇🧬 #Conservation #Genomics European Reference Genome Atlas
