New paper! This is my group’s first foray into using transformers for a very discrete, theoretical physics problem. The answer is hard to find, but “easy” to check. My honor to be working with Lance Dixon & François Charton. Shoutout to postdocs Garrett Merz & Tianji making it happen

This was a big surprise. There is a strong bidirectional relationship between physics & AI / machine learning. Concepts from physics have inspired many techniques in AI/ML & AI/ML is revolutionizing many areas of physics. The connection is strong, but still a surprising choice.
