Great seminar today by Sonia Conesa Boj with beautiful TEM/EELS data on TMDs! Coincidentally, we also found a book on electromagnetism in Catalan in one of our offices. So she has a nice gift from us. 😄

Had a blast at the #ESSM24 in Valencia. Many interesting discussions, new connections and new ideas. The weather and food are also fantastic, had enough sun to survive a few more months in the NL. Thanks José J. Baldoví for the organization and for hosting!

Excellent debate on the EU #elections organized by Faculty of Arts - University of Groningen, Studium Generale, and Forum Groningen, with fantastic moderation by @BenLeruth. Now I also finally decided who to vote for on my first election as an EU citizen!

The bianual conference from our @ZernikeInst comes to an end. Had a lot of fun with all my colleagues and the members of our group, Rixt and Teresa presented some beautiful posters and Cédric Alexander gave a most excellent presentation. The best in the conference in fact!

Had a great time in Toyama at the META Conference on metamaterials and photonics. It was great to learn a little more of photonics and chat with some colleagues from all around. The glass museum was also fantastic! Now for my summer vacation around Japan!
