Great call with my friend Mia Amor Mottley We are keeping momentum in the EU-Caribbean partnership after my visit. The region is increasingly affected by natural disasters. So we are boosting EU support with satellite & climate data. See you at the EU-CELAC Summit in November!

Today we opened the WFP Caribbean Regional Logistics Hub in Barbados. The hub will service our region and significantly improve our disaster response. Thanks to World Food Programme, World Food Program USA, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, EUinBarbados, Canada in Barbados and the OECS & USEmbassy Bridgetown. This is the power of partnerships.

The news of the plane crash in Ahmedabad this morning is simply tragic. On behalf of our nation, I extend my deepest condolences and solidarity to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the people of India, and the families of those involved. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
