We finished our Archaeology 100 talks last night with a topic that connects the past with the future - Duignan's excavations at Rathgurreen, Co. Galway and their role in a new research project on the Maree peninsula. Thanks to all who participated, and Michael O'Connell for photos!

Farming Rathcroghan EIP is a European Commission EIP/Just Transition funded project which promotes sustainable farming towards the protection of the rich archaeological landscape around Rathcroghan, near Tulsk in Co Roscommon.

Delighted to recently be awarded a 2025 Community Monuments Fund grant to work with the landowner, archaeologist Kate Robb, and ecologist John Conaghan to create a conservation plan for the impressive Rathgurreen Ringfort, Co. Galway. #CMF2025 National Monuments Service
