Interestingly, these scholars interpreted the last sentence of this clause (about how 2/3 of Congress may “vote to remove such disability”) to mean that 2/3 of congress can vote to reinstate Trump’s eligibility (which some of my followers suggested).

The good news is that even if this is correct, which I still disagree with, Republicans simply do not have those votes in either chamber of Congress; as it would require 290 votes in the House and 67 in the senate (the GOP has 218 members in the House and 49 in the senate)
