Factors other than AMR contributed to pathogen success over the antibiotic era. We used temporal GWAS to identify these, including a widely distributed novel adhesin. Check out Rebecca Bennett’s epic work here to find out more bit.ly/3KtltgK 1/10

One mission of Penn State E. coli Reference Center is the rescue of E. coli collections in danger of being lost as faculty retire or otherwise move on. Headed to the Midwest shortly for two such collections, one lab also has a large group B Strep collection looking for a home. Ideas or interest?

A smaller paper but one I'm damn proud of getting out. Collaboration with UPR Aguadilla - Oficial, part of NIFA #REEU program. Another paper to follow on #AMR on dairy farms on PR. Undergrads who knew little about genomics prior to starting led the way. journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/mr…

We PlantVillage bet on young people to develop & test the innovations needed to feed a world of 10 billion under climate change. And capture/store 1 billion tonnes carbon on smallholder farms. We are now in 9 countries reaching 14 million farmers/week. What does that look like?
