SPEAKER EMERITA HORTMAN: Instead of bringing down prices like they promised on the campaign trail, Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are working to enact trillions in tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy, and they're going to pay for it by slashing federal spending on

Congrats to “Mr. 67” David Gottfried and the huge turnout from Democrats in 40B! In last special election (March 2024) we saw 7% voter turnout. Today, 6 TIMES that many people voted- 47%!- including 9,352 for Gottfried. Needlessly to say, Democrats are fired up! #mnleg

The Trump tariffs will raise prices, eliminate jobs, & sabotage Minnesota's economy. I'm introducing a bill to formally study and create an action plan to address the ripple effects of the Trump tariffs because when the federal gov't fails us, the state of MN must step up. #mnleg

It's been said many times that a President gets too much credit when our economy is doing well and too much blame when it is doing poorly. Not this time. Our economy is tanking and it's all on Trump's tariffs. And who gets shanked by this epic self-inflicted wound? You.

Republicans: You can’t trust all the biased liberals saying the Trump tariffs are terrible economic policy. Also Republicans: 👇

Laugh or cry? According to Rep. Drew Roach, J6 was a hoax because in the aftermath Senators were all using the word "insurrection" in speeches and he, "had never heard the term insurrection in my life until that day.” 🫠 minnesotareformer.com/2025/04/09/min…

It's pretty simple. If Republicans drop their policy demands to harm working families we can pass a state budget on a bipartisan basis that moves our state forward. But right now, sticking it to workers is a higher priority for Republicans than balancing our budget.

Billionaires like Elon Musk shouldn't be able to bribe voters with million-dollar lotteries. Republicans just voted against our amendment to prevent it from happening. Ridiculous.

Members of the Capitol Press Corps covered Melissa, but also knew her as a person. Amidst their grief, they've showed professionalism and compassion while reporting non-stop. Thank you. We know this is hard for you as well, and everyone who knew Melissa and Mark. Thank you.

Today is the 5 year anniversary of the enactment of Alec’s Law. Thanks to Nicole, James and advocates, thousands of Minnesotans have used the law to get insulin when they needed it most. Don’t let anyone tell you we can’t organize to win big fights against powerful interests.
