My FYP started as a biological project, rapidly changed to building an optical device, turned again into a design engineering challenge and now it’s simply designing a data processing algorithm. At this rate on submission data I’m doing something in the field of economics 🤷🏻‍♂️

We (Andrew York, Jan Becker, Craig Russell and I) are still working on the manuscript describing our automatic parameter-free deconvolution approach, but we've made a Google Colab notebook where you can try it out without needing to install anything: beryl.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/rlgc_notebook/

We (Andrew York and I) are still working on the manuscript describing our artefact-free, noise-appropriate, resampling approach, but we've made a Google Colab notebook where you can try it out: beryl.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/upscaling_note… Below, we go from 104 nm per px to 8 nm per px.

Thanks to The Royal Society and @MRC_LMB, Buzz Baum's Lab and I are looking for a student to develop the next generation of fluorescent proteins for live and super-resolution imaging, as part of the LMB's four-year PhD programme. www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/students/inter…

In case you missed it, check out our recent preprint on developmental timing and how slower means bigger, axons that is! Led by the extraordinary Feline Lindhout biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
