Today at the AWS Think Big Space located inside JL Simpson MS, educators came to learn more about the Robots for Everyone Program. Thank you to the team from Legacy Elementary for sharing their RFE model and to Shawn DeLuca and @SharonBrandon21 for facilitating the event.

Our April Make & Take sessions today at the AWS Think Big Space located JL Simpson MS were a huge success! Educators from all over LCPS News spent time building CS integrated lesson plans and resources while learning about tools and programs available at their school.

Secondary Math and Computer Science teachers met at the AWS Think Big Space JL Simpson MS for a day of collaborative planning. Lots of great discussions took place while Ts made connections to the Seven Computational Thinking Strategies and tried various tools and programs.

Please join our Instructional Facilitators of Computer Science as they present ISTE on June 27th. They will be highlighting how LCPS News has been integrating Computer Science and Computational Thinking into grades K-8.

Our final VSTE session of Day 2 was another round of CS Minute To Win It. Our game masters Mike Speidel & Jill Buss challenged the 30+ competitors to utilize tools such as CODAP, EarSketch, Ozobot, Sphero, and iRobot to complete challenges for a prize.

LCPS News: Time for another Computer Science Teacher Spotlight! This week, we highlight @MsHDay from JM Lunsford MS. To help her Ss review their unit on WWII, she incorporated the iRobot and had Ss work in groups to code their Root to find the answers.
