The figures for here in Hinckley & Bosworth are nearly as bad with 88% of people claiming the standard rate of PIP at risk of losing out. Talking to many people with disabilities here in Hinckley & Bosworth there’s real concern about the government’s plans, they must think again

Popped into Hinckley ASDA and was great to see Jacqui Payne there selling her lovely handknitted animals to raise money for the Red Cross for relief for the victims of war in Ukraine. If you’re around pop and see Jacqui and her colleague at the stall they are there till about 5pm

Pleased govt is reinstating winter fuel payments for those who need them. Was glad that Hinckley & Bosworth Council & Leicestershire County supported motions I submitted last year calling for govt to reinstate the payments. Glad govt changed its mind but sad it’s taken so long.

Peter & Ann Hall were a lovely couple who gave decades of service to the local community in Burbage. It was nice to attend the ceremony recently that saw the Community Centre in Burbage renamed the Peter & Ann Hall Community Centre in their honour.
