The UK’s first NHS England high energy proton beam centre here at The Christie treated its first patient last month and our dedicated team is preparing for further patients over the coming weeks.

Mason Kettley is one of our first patients to be treated in our new proton beam therapy centre for a brain tumour. He said: “I’m nervous about what is going to happen, but I’m also excited to start this treatment. I’m so grateful to all the doctors involved in my care."
