Using machine learning, we explored how pain mechanistic domains form networks. These networks explain 50-80% of pain variability—significantly better than any of our previous analyses. 🤓🔬journals.lww.com/pain/abstract/… CNAP-AAU IASP European Pain Federation EFIC® AAU SUND Rocco Giordano, Ph.D.

Wonderful experience writing this editorial with Giacomo Rossettini and Alvisa Palese on measuring contextual factors. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39330830/ Open access here: tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

One of my PhD babies. 🫢👶🏻 Despite ongoing and interesting discussions on (central) sensitization (thanks Diana Torta for the tweet, enjoyed the review by Velasco! 📖), we think that psychophysics can be useful to identify signs of sensitization. Do you agree? Take a look ⬇️

Read “Indication for spinal sensitization in chronic low back pain: mechanical hyperalgesia adjacent to but not within the most painful body area” by Laura Sirucek et al. available now in #PainReports bit.ly/3YvzfZ9

Excited to be in Aalborg CNAP-AAU for the next two weeks to get more insight in the areas of Pain and Neuroplasticity using non-invasive brain stimulation Thank you Neuromod+ Network for the funding Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Medical Research Council T Graven-Nielsen

We are proud to welcome our newly recruited CNAP-AAU postdocs to the team: Margit Bach and Laura Sirucek. They will be working on advanced new projects within pain, brain oscillations and non-invasive neuromodulation. We look forward to their contributions to the field.

This week we are strongly represented at the Neuroscience Academy Denmark annual meeting. Sammy Millard, Laura De Herde and T Graven-Nielsen promoted the neuroscience possibilities at CNAP-AAU, AAU SUND, not least the new Brain Neuroadaptability to Pain initiative. Danmarks Grundforskningsfond Lundbeckfonden

Had a great time during the Neuroscience Academy Denmark meeting and loved hearing more on what is happening in the Motor and Pain column alongside watching Laura De Herde and Anna M. Zamorano present their awesome CNAP-AAU projects! Great work all!🧠🫀🎻
