It always astounds me how quickly electoral politics placates people; how it defangs them of their most radical demands. Have you just entirely forgotten the images that have come out of Gaza over the last ten months? Do they not matter to you anymore?

In 2020 protestors burned down a precinct, flooded the streets, rioted, burned cop cars, and demanded abolition only for liberals to coerce us into voting for Biden to “save democracy.”

Now it happens again. For the last ten months we have watched the most meticulously documented genocide unfold. Journalists martyred, babies beheaded, entire bloodlines wiped out, manufactured famine, and we are back to the same, tired discourse of voting to “save democracy.”

Is a democracy, that doesn’t just allow, but facilitates and funds and gives standing ovations to this travesty of the human imagination, worth saving?
