Interested in giving archaeology a try? Archaeology taster sessions this August with the Caister Roman Project. I know it's only Roman, but if you are lucky you might stumble upon some decent medieval archaeology too... 😉

Slightly unusual remains of the C15th rood screen at Dickleburgh, Norfolk, that doesn't get enough attention IMHO. No saints or angels here, but rather a fantastic collection of tiny village characters, devils, animals...

Up with the God's. Roof inspection at the cathedral of St John the Baptist in Norwich. A medieval cathedral built in the late C19th.

I'd forgotten about this little beauty. C11th century carved ivory plaque, originally discovered in North Elmham in Norfolk, and now in the lovely museum of archaeology and anthropology in Cambridge. Well worth a visit.
