The word "resilient" has been weaponised in the right's current attacks on SEND. The suggestion that all a neurodivergent child needs is some "resilience" is as pernicious as it is ugly.

As ofsted seem to be very keen on parent/carer viewpoints I wonder if they will explain why, when well over 50% of survey respondents about a school wouldn’t recommend it to others, they choose to ignore it?

Disadvantaged children in educationally isolated schools (coastal, rural) perform worse than equally disadvantaged children in urban settings. Something must change.

Does the micro-management of young people's behaviour, routines, and habits in schools do more harm than good?

This is quite shocking: 75% of teens are unhappy in school. 66% are not focused on learning, and suicide rates jump 30% during school months. Why are we still pretending this system works?

Today is Good Friday. I spent the morning on an Ecumenical walk around Hackney reflecting on each station of the cross. I was privileged enough to carry the cross. This was followed by an amazing service by my wonderful priest. Bless you all.
