Our new paper is now out in Scientific Reports. This was the result of a little collaboration between Rianne Lord, the Michelle Buckner Lab (Parisa Pordelkhaki, Pedro Ernesto de Resende, Frank Ker funded student Hannah Partington), and Simon Gibbons. nature.com/articles/s4159…

We identified cobalt complexes without antibacterial activity that modulated plasmid conjugation. We found that they do not have plasmid-curing effects. Could further optimisation of metal complexes offer compounds with promising sources of anti-plasmid activity?
