Thank you to everyone who made Friday such a success. The energy and buzz in the room was incredible throughout the day. This pic was my highlight of the day, having Eddie Woo on stage to learn a game that Nash and I created together was especially great.

If I've run into you in past few weeks it's likely you've heard me sing praises of Pam Harris. I saw her present and I wished more teachers could have attended. Well, I just found out about her upcoming maths challenge, which I think is worth checking out mathisfigureoutable.com/challenge

Highlight of Fathers Day yesterday was my 5 year old daughter telling me she had made me a maths game. And I have to say...it was pretty great! She had even given it a theme and a matching cool name (Mine Mystery). The aim of the game was to get as much gold as you can.

We're in the midst of event planning for next year and would love to hear from you. Who would you like to see present at a Love Maths conference in 2025? It can be an old favourite or someone entirely new. Thanks!

Was really nice to hear our website and the games we share being given a shout out in Pam Harris' latest podcast. Well worth a listen!

That's a wrap for term 3! Finished with a parent night last night and got a great answer from a parent about how they worked out 8 x 15. He said he thought of a clock and knew that four lots of 15 mins was 60 min, hence 8 lots of 15 would be 120. Love it!

Happy World Teachers Day! To celebrate we're sharing an all-time classic game called Juniper Green that we learnt from Eddie Woo Best for middle primary all the way up to adults, lots of fun to play and all you need is something to write with. Enjoy! youtube.com/watch?v=TYs80t…

Can you estimate how many steps to get back to the other end of the pier? Such a good, simple activity. Our initial estimates weren't great but we stopped about a 1/3 of the way & used the info gained thus far...second estimates were much closer! Could do this almost anywhere...

Welcome back for 2025 school year! My aim is to try and post more games this year, starting with In Da Club. It's really good to use as a whole class warm-up and it can be used with all year levels. Enjoy! youtube.com/watch?v=2LeGWw…

Just finished planning session for our upcoming webinar & I have to say, I'm feeling very excited! In case you're wondering, Rob is holding up a calculator as he was worried the picture wouldn't look mathematical enough with just the two of our heads! eventbrite.com.au/e/unlocking-th…

I discovered this video from almost a year ago that we apparently filmed and then did nothing with. Really simple game called Tenzi that would be perfect for Foundation teachers, especially early in the school year. Enjoy! youtube.com/watch?v=p0Lrrr…

This is a work sample from a year 3/4 class I worked in last week. Can you spot: *The child's initial error? AND *How they were able to figure out where they went wrong?
