My friend LibbyMBC is in hospital and having a lot of complications from metastatic breast cancer. She could use some hope and some love. Consider donating to her GoFund Me <3 gofundme.com/f/libbys-cance…

Like so many, I feel like I know Hank Green . I admire him so much. This is the type of video I wish I had the wherewithal to make when I was diagnosed with cancer - humour, candour, clear boundaries, He clearly has awesome people in his corner! globalnews.ca/news/9712013/h…

Yesterday during a presser, Danielle Smith referenced a rugby video featuring that supposedly demonstrated the “advantage” trans women have in sports. But the video she’s likely talking about actually doesn’t have a trans woman in it at all 👀 vm.tiktok.com/ZM67gwEGr/

The Cholmondeley Ladies (circa 1600-1610) is a painting raising many questions. Today we're not going to talk about the puzzle in pegging down the identities of the women - we will focus on a different, more mundane puzzle... Image courtesy of Tate Britain.

Feels like a good time to remind everyone - not all chemotherapy drugs make you lose your hair. Not everyone looks "sick" while undergoing cancer treatment. Many cancer patients can go about day-to-day life doing the normal stuff they always do.

Cancer is a difficult topic for many people to approach - patient or otherwise. The most common portrayal in the media is a bald, emaciated person hooked up to an IV. These images aren't fearmongering; cancer is only scary because it IS so fatal, if not damaging at a minimum.
