Year 1 looked at rapeseed, wheat, oat and fava beans in the big store rooms and then worked out what foods they were used to make. The odd one out was Rice Krispies. Tamara Hall

Solar is a vital part of the UK’s plan to become #NetZero. But what impact will a rise in solar farms have on the amount of food we can grow? And what about those who like their countryside views to be green not glass? More on @looknorthbbc 1830

Soil should be central to our climate strategy, and farming methods which improve soil health must become a central tenet of our climate response and carbon sequestration strategy. Here's a thread on why soil is so important.

Last May Michael Gove guaranteed food produced to lower standards would not enter the UK, this week, the government has signed a 3 year deal allowing tariff free imported cane sugar, grown with 20 products I am banned from using in growing sugar beet. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤¬

Off the back of #BackBritishFarmingDay seems the ideal time to share this. I’m very pleased to have joined the Farming CAN team as an ambassador. Their new project hopes to work towards exposing stereotypes & barriers in farming, and also provide education on food production! 🌾
