Very sad. I grew up in the next village along from Chippy and have had amazing times both speaking at and attending ChipLitFest (it's also where I met my beloved platonic life partner @[email protected]). A big loss - and Penny Batchelor - Author's thread explains why beautifully. 👇🏻

On the back of this thread, I got the opportunity to write about the desperate lack of books for teen boys in The Bookseller. Massive thanks to Molly Flatt for letting me write on an issue I'm hugely passionate about. Link: tinyurl.com/3mwnrczs

This little book from the folk at Delayed Gratification is a bitesize delight. Words submitted by the public for inclusion in Collins dictionary is a favourite so far, as is the timeline of viral food fads. Every entry could be the start of a novel, they’re so telling, and niche. Joyful.

Already emotional after an incredible #FutureBook opening keynote from Fleur Sinclair. Imagine if bookshops were the spaces from which we rebuilt our sense of community and embedded values of empathy, curiosity and respecting difference… not to mention shared moments of joy ✨

So at The London Book Fair, 11-13 March 2025 next Weds I am moderating a conversation between Lee Jarit, Global Head of Publisher and Partner Relations at Audible, and best-selling fantasy author Michael R. Miller on *audiobook self-publishing*. What do you want to know?
