Beautiful work from Monica Dallmann-Sauer and Yong Xu from the Erwin Schurr lab. By studying a family with extreme cases of leprosy, they identified compound mutations in LRRK2 and NOD2 at the intersection of susceptibility to infection and excessive inflammation. medrxiv.org/content/10.110…
