I’d suggest the Ofsted employees charged with engaging on social media take a break from their role as it really isn’t helping Ofsted and causing quite a lot of upset amongst education folk. A lose lose

Please take the time to read this impressive report. It highlights just why Ofsted needs reform not mere rebranding. The inspectorate may seek to portray those who hold such a view as “the usual suspects” - there are clearly quite a number of us based on this data.

Dear Chris Mason, Beth Rigby and Laura Kuenssberg Do let us know when you will start asking Nigel Farage and his Merrymen at #Reform about actual policies. Or is that too much to ask. #BBCBreakfast #LocalElections2025 #SkyNews #BBCLauraK

Good day at the Utilita Bowl watching Hampshire v Durham. Session after tea a tad breezy but Hampshire ended 112-1 chasing Durham’s 511.

Some eloquently expressed thoughts on Ofsted, following our open letter to Bridget Phillipson. An overhaul is not enough: Ofsted must go | Letters theguardian.com/education/2025…

Don’t forget that with all the debate around the future of Ofsted, this new book shines a light on how accountability can be fixed in schools.

A day watching cricket at my favourite county ground. At 58-5 in third innings of match Worcestershire are, oddly, well placed some 259 runs ahead.

Despite all the damage Brexit has done, despite all the lies told and the promises broken by the charlatans who led the fight for it, despite all the bullshit fake patriotic coverage in the right wing rags over decades, the broadcasters continue to take their lead from the same

Another day watching cricket. This time at Worcester. Warwickshire are 99 ahead with one wicket down in their second innings. Should hopefully see a decent days play.

One of the best views in cricket. The test match arenas have all the facilities but the traditional county grounds have the character. Made all the better when chomping on a bacon roll.

These align with views shared by respondents to The Alternative Big Listen and The Alternative Big Consultation. So what does Ofsted do? They increase the pressure by introducing more grades and more areas to be graded and then hosting them on a Scorecard. thealternativebiglisten.co.uk
