I am searching for a postdoctoral research scholar to join my group at Brown Engineering! Email [email protected] with your CV and three references. Significant experience in computational compressible flow is desired. Full announcement: sites.brown.edu/rodriguez/grou…

Prof. Monica Martinez Wilhelmus delivered a plenary talk @apsmeetings #APSDFD "Tracing the New Arctic: Is drifting sea ice a vorticity meter of the ocean?" In all, almost 50 talks were given during the 3-day event by Brown Engineering faculty, postdocs and students from the fluids group.

Spread the word! I am actively searching for a fully-funded postdoctoral research scholar to join my group at Brown Engineering! Email [email protected] with your CV. Significant experience in computational compressible flow is desired. Announcement: sites.brown.edu/rodriguez/grou…

Congratulations to Eric H on publishing a paper based on his undergrad research on #cavitation in blood, in collaboration with Mauro Rodriguez Jr., PhD asa.scitation.org/doi/10.1121/10…

Our very own Roberto Zenit gave an excellent talk on the criteria for transition from stable to unstable bubble chain in carbonated drinks. When he gave the selected audience Physical Review Fluids ducks, the whole room ‘quack’ed up! (Pun intended)

Huge congrats to Luke for his successful PhD defense this afternoon, the first PhD from the #harrislab Brown Engineering!

The stability of bubble chains, familiar to many thanks to carbonated drinks, champagne and beer, may hold important implications for understanding bubbly flows in the field of fluid mechanics. Zenit Research Lab brown.edu/news/2023-05-0…

Congratulations to Scientific Computing & Flow Physics Lab at UMich alumni Mauro Rodriguez Jr., PhD and Aditya Nair on your respective DEPSCoR awards! Excited to learn more about your work on #cavitation and #aeroelasticity defense.gov/News/Releases/…

Happy to be at Martin Maxey’s retirement workshop today Brown University. He has been a wonderful mentor and collaborator during my first years at Brown.

Congrats to @jackwilliamb21 for the capillary spinner photo from his recent paper being selected for the Homepage Cover Art of Communications Physics! #harrislab @stuartthomson90 nature.com/commsphys/

Engineering faculty have been awarded more than $15M over the last 3 years to expand research and work with Naval researchers. Now, Brown University has launched its MUSE Center to help contribute to better designs of UUVs. engineering.brown.edu/news/2023-08-0…

Our proposal “Integrated Experiments and Modeling for Spatial, Finite, and Fast Rheometry of Graded Hydrogels using Inertial Cavitation” is funded by NSF! Thank you for supporting our research idea! (in collaboration with Profs. Jon Estrada and Mauro Rodriguez Mauro Rodriguez Jr., PhD) 🫧🙌
