Students are striking with golf clubs. This student with a visual impairment and limited use of one arm/hand is beginning by using a short handled hockey stick, large beeper ball, and bowling ramp to practicing grasping an implement, locating the object, and striking it forwards.

Extending the golf club surface with a pool noodle and using “touch the blue spot, touch the orange cone, strike the ball” helps this student keep his club low to the ground and make contact with the ball.

Rock, paper, scissors picture cards allow students to participate in activities with their peers, even if they can’t make the symbols with their hands or understand the strategies. #PhysEd #adaptedPE

Individualized student warm-up task cards allow students to practice skills and goals while providing a structured routine for the beginning of each class. Simple design with Velcro on both sides of the checkmark with no removable pieces is a bonus! #adaptedPE #PhysEd

APE Tool-box contains everything teachers, support staff, and students need! Drawers contain warm-up cards with equipment needed. Baskets hold larger pieces of equipment and double as targets. Side bag contains picture cue cards and other tools and visuals. #adaptedPE #PhysEd

Peer helpers are the best! This student who uses a wheelchair is riding in a scooter while working on his grip strength and communication skills to participate in a cooperative game of “Cross the River.” #adaptedPe #PhysEd

This student is working on dribbling a soccer ball using small taps with the insides of his feet while using his wheelchair and participating in a group activity with his peers. #PhysEd #adaptedPE #inclusion

With a bowling ramp, baseball bats, noodles, and some tape, this student is able to kick a soccer ball with the inside of his foot with greater force to send it to a partner or target. #PhysEd #adaptedPE #inclusion
