It's a busy day for the Making Positive Moves team! Annabel, Helen and Sam are at Learning Disability England conference in Manchester, and Louisa and Silvana are Research at HPFT research showcase in Hatfield!


Sadie and Mel reflecting on recruiting to the DESMOND-ID diabetes study at Research at HPFT showcase. It was important to take time to build a relationship and trust prior to consent. More research visits were sometimes needed. Crucial to consider and budget for this in research.


A great presentation from Indermeet Sawhney about the impact on of an enhanced physical health clinic on improving cancer screening rates for people with learning disabilities. Further research needed particularly on cervical cancer.
