We can't afford to lose doctors. Rachel Reeves, the chancellor, said last year that resolving the doctor pay dispute is "a drop in the ocean" for the government. Paying doctors 22.67£/hr to keep them here is a no brainer.

Remember that time I said I’d got paid more in two weeks in Australia than I did in a month in the NHS in England and loads of people got mad about it? Fully support the doctors strikes and if we don’t we know where they’ll go. Where they are respected and treated like valued

A fully qualified doctor earns just £18.62/hr. A physician assistant can earn £24+/hr in their first year. More money. Less training. Less responsibility. And Wes Streeting thinks drs should just accept this? You don’t fix the NHS by devaluing drs. You fix it by restoring pay.

Supporting Ukraine isn’t “charity” — it’s in Europe’s shared security interest. Europe must step up now & stand firmly with Ukraine. Relying too heavily on the United States — especially given the current political uncertainty — undermines our ability to respond effectively.

Doctors' assistants are earning almost 47% more than a fully qualified doctor in London. Even with full pay restoration, doctors would still be earning less than their assistants. Paying doctors £22.67/hr would still be a bargain for this country.
