Jess Rohmann is on BlueSky and LinkedIn The BMJ Marco Piccininni Tobias Kurth Great to see a well designed descriptive epidemiologic study adequately valued and making it into a top tier medical journal. Good example that descriptive studies don't mean simple stats! And I found no "risk factor" mentioned! Really good, congrats

While #causal thinking and #prediction are commonly thought to be distinct different domains, in some situations, knowledge of the causal structure improves clinical risk prediction and has implications for the transportability. Marco Piccininni Stefan Konigorski

Widespread of use race “corrections” in medical diagnosis got a lot of scrutiny recently But those are the tip of the iceberg: there are so many “corrections” and standardizations we do — bc we’ve always done them I don’t have an answer, but this is a deep convo we need to have

The #paperoftheyear 2022 goes to Jess Rohmann is on BlueSky and LinkedIn Marco Piccininni, H. Audebert et al.! In their ANA Journals paper they found that the benefit of mobile stroke unit dispatch on 3-mo. functional outcomes persists when considering the full spectrum of stroke/TIA patients. Congrats!🏆🎉🙌
