Here’s the new gi I designed with Kekoa Collective, inspired by the cultural exchange between Japan & Brazil that shapes Jiu-Jitsu. The design draws from “boro,” a traditional Japanese textile repair technique, symbolizing the fusion of knowledge that led to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

My first Jiu Jitsu Con is a wrap, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Huge thanks to the Kekoa Collective family for an unforgettable time. I’m blown away that the gis I designed sold out! Thank you!

Had a rewarding day prepping for the Hawaii Walls Festival in Kalihi! Huge thanks to Hawaiian Airlines, Aloha Gas, and Nordic PCL for spending their Saturday helping us beautify public schools. The day was full of paint, laughter, and community. Big thanks to everyone involved!

We spent a beautiful Sunday at the breathtaking Hanauma Bay, soaking up the sun and recharging before the busy week of painting begins. It was the perfect way to relax, unwind, and get ready for the creative energy ahead!

The first day of Hawaii Walls 2024 is officially in the books, and we couldn’t be more excited! This week, we’re honored to bring art to life as we paint murals at three incredible public schools—Farrington High School, Kalihi Kai Elementary, and Puuhale Elementary.

Day 2 of Hawaii Walls 2024 is officially in the books! The schools are coming to life with vibrant colors, and it’s been incredible to see the students getting involved. They’ve been stopping by to admire the art and even leave their own marks on the murals.

It was a day well spent painting the vibrant schools of Kalihi, followed by an incredible art show hosted by Thinkspace at the Gangway Gallery. The night wrapped up perfectly with an unforgettable caricature roasting session, courtesy of the talented Ninja Sketch and Salah.

Reliving the unforgettable moments of Hawaii Walls 2024 through the brilliant lens of Emmy award-winning director Cory Martin. His work captures the heart of this year’s murals, bringing to life the vibrant energy that now fills the schools and communities.

Our first day back in Osaka was packed! We started the morning by making handmade udon with Udonzin. From there, we took a trip to Nara to see the deer. While in Nara, we also visited the Edward Gorey exhibition. In the evening, we wandered through Dotonbori.

Today, we spent the day exploring the streets of Osaka and capped it off by immersing ourselves in the sights and sounds of the teamLab otanical garden.

It’s been amazing to see so many people sharing photos and videos of themselves training in the gi I designed with Kekoa Collective. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about watching an idea come to life and seeing others enjoy it.

We spent the day getting Ella set up for her second mural, where she’s fortunate to be painting alongside Mariya. Big thanks to Emily for not only organizing everything but also cooking up dinners each night.

My sold out lucky envelopes that I designed for the year or the snake. We’ve been doing this every year for the past few years. Stay tuned for next year’s envelopes.

The process of a new painting for my friend Simon from @vizmedia and his wife, Joohee—an incredible artist in her own right. For this piece, I created a portrait of the legendary Itachi from Naruto. Attempted to bring this iconic character to life with my own touch.
