When 6th grade comes to STEAM w/ a new design & want to sell it, we get going w/ applied learning! After calculating design cost, we calculate labor. S’s learn that $0.50/min makes the item cost too high, & found $0.01/min brings the labor+item cost to ~ $1. Next up,marketing!

3rd grade science club engineering a structure to hold at least 10 pennies. Only parameter was that the cup could not touch anything on its bottom.
