Some great ideas from Elaine McNally's session Litdrive UK #LitdriveCPD25. Main takeaways: ✅Modelling writing is modelling thinking. ✅Teach high leverage strategies. ✅Share lots of examples and build in lots of practice. ✅Share non-examples to preempt pitfalls.
I always think #WritingRocks✍️😍☺️ writingrocks.bsky.social posts here are full of sound thinking, expertise & good advice. (I'm not being paid to say this!) The emphasis on teaching the skills of writing in the context of intentions, choice & pleasure rather than as fixed 'procedures' is very welcome!
