I think it’s not unlikely that a lot of elite private schools (secondary and higher ed) will market themselves as teaching students to use AI responsibly. Then, when AI is fully integrated in public schools, they will ban them and market themselves as offering AI-free education.

I think AI is one of many ways they are trying to build new gates. I remember sitting in a first year lecture thinking to myself: Wow, no wonder they used to keep us plebs out of these places. And my next thought was: Wonder how long this lasts?

I love when people frame zoning in strong moral terms, but rent control and eviction protections in strictly practical terms - because it reveals that all they actually care about are property rights.
