@Robbie_Calmac Jenni Minto MSP Kevin Stewart SNP CalMac Ferries Message sent out on a Friday evening of a Bank Holiday when no one is there to answer. You are an utter shambles. You should be standing on a pier tomorrow dealing with the chaos you have caused- not your poor staff.

So who do we blame for this? Calmac? …no no no, we’re just the operator and have no say over the supply of ferries. CMAL? ….. don’t ask us, we don’t run the ferry system. Government? Of course not! look at all the money we’re spending!

This is really impossible. How can ANY islander or island business that needs the ferries (that’s ALL islanders and island businesses one way or another) make any sort of plans with these constantly shifting curcumstances?

Another week, another island let down by chronic mismanagement of our ferry system. Kevin Stewart SNP wants to build resilience in the fleet rather than compensate for the damage. Fine, but how long will that take, and how many businesses will go under in the meantime?

Main berth linkspan out of action. Alternative berth not suitable due to moderate breeze from wrong direction. High windage ro-ro-pax monohull operates pax only, no vehicles. Meanwhile, the low windage medium speed ro-pax catamaran will operate normally. Just sayin'.....

Punitive late-for-check-in penalties averted. CalMac have been persuaded to drop plans to make passengers buy new tickets if they arrive late for check-in. mullandionaferrycommittee.org/2023/07/09/pun…

Mull and Iona are open and easy to get to - via Lochaline! With reduced capacity on the Oban - Craignure ferry through until May 10th, the best choice for getting on or off Mull is via the frequent, high-capacity, super-reliable, quick and cheap Lochaline to Fishnish ferry.
