No he podido dejar de pensar en mis colegas, varios miembros de American Meteorological Society CHALA. Pienso mucho en la hija de Martha Llanos. Ayudemos a nuestros colegas Diego Campos, Bradford Barrett & Aldo. GoFundMe: gofund.me/a24275e9

Have you ever wondered why many above-anvil cirrus plumes (AACPs) are warm, but some are cold relative to the underlying anvil? Elisa Murillo (She/Her) #BlackLivesMatter helps to unravel this mystery using GOES, NEXRAD, and ERA5 data in a new @AMS_atmos paper currently in EOR! doi.org/10.1175/JAS-D-…

Extremely proud #ScienceDad moment: Elisa Murillo (She/Her) #BlackLivesMatter defended her PhD dissertation with excellence today and we are lucky to have her as an up-and-coming leader in our field 🌟. It has been a privilege to work with you these past 6 years. Congratulations! 🎉🥂🎓

I’m very grateful to have been nominated to be part of the American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting Oversight Committee! I’m so excited to share new ideas, collaborate with such intelligent individuals, and contribute to future AMS meetings. #AMS2023

I did not have the misfortune of attending this presentation, but I sincerely hope American Meteorological Society and Oklahoma Meteorology have the opportunity to reflect upon what was said at #AMS2023.

ESSL will present its most important award, the Nikolai Dotzek Award, to Pao Wang, Martin Setvák Martin Setvak, and Kris Bedka Kris Bedka at the upcoming 11th European Severe Storms Conference (ECSS2023). Read more about their accomplishments here: essl.org/cms/nikolai-do…

Both NWS Storm Prediction Center and NWS Norman absolutely nailed last night’s event and kept the OU community (among many others) safe. Now if only University of Oklahoma would just step up and do or say *anything* to support their students, faculty, and staff as they recover.
