We know folk love our monthly building history tours. Arthur, one of our youngest regular visitors has been back, adding to his tour guide research, bless him. And at the other end of the spectrum, we have had some more fab feedback!

Our textile collections are revered from far and wide. With collaborators ArtatWorkNorwich CIC we've been exploring the heritage of - and patterns within - these fascinating fabrics!

We have been working with Tracy Hartnell for a while now, collaborating with her as she's been researching the story of Peter the Wild Man. She popped in last week to update on progress. And with her came Peter. We can't wait to see the final piece.

Over the next few weeks, you might spy our Conservator Dave and his band of volunteers, deep cleaning our recreated chemist shop. With over 2000 items in the collection, this is an EPIC task. In all we estimate they will work on this for 56 hours. Thank you to the little crew!

This week we have been sharing our love of Norwich shawls. Did you know that Norwich was famous for producing exquisite dress shawls? And that Norwich was home to many skilled weavers and dyers who worked for local textile manufacturers throughout the C19th?
