Put me out of my misery

As I planned this out, I truly thought that my marathon taper would be the ideal weeks to finish writing my grant. In hindsight, I did not account for the coffee taper. I am proud to say that I have written my first non-caffeinated grant and I am quite proud of it. 😂

The best goal is the simplest: to keep getting better. The process of setting a goal on the outer boundaries of what we think is possible, and then systematically pursuing it, is one of the must fulfilling parts about being human.

The US has had 130 mass shootings since the start of 2023 and 13 occurred at schools. In 86 days, 63 children have died from gun violence. To paraphrase Mandela, there is no keener revelation of the GOP’s soul than the way it treats its guns versus the way it treats its children.

This is so important. I hope more academics will appreciate the effort some have to make compared to their peers.
