Chital Translocation from TATR to NNTR Successfully Initiated! 🦌 On 21 Nov 2025, 10 chital were safely translocated from Tadoba’s Jamni meadows to the soft-release enclosures of NNTR.

Satara village near Tadoba is earning praise for spotless streets, RO water cards, CCTV-covered lanes, zero plastic, and strict community discipline. A true model village inspiring India. 🌿✨

The second round of Chital translocation from TATR to NNTR was successfully completed today with zero mortality. A total of 63 Chital were safely relocated using the Boma method from Jamni meadow to NNTR’s soft-release enclosures.

Rare Striated Grassbird recorded at Chaparala WLS during the Citizen Science Bird Survey! Two individuals were spotted along the Pranhita River — a remarkable and rare record for eastern Maharashtra.

The Indian Spotted Creeper (Salpornis spilonotus)—one of the rarest birds in Chandrapur. Only two sightings in the last 10–12 years, both from Sindewahi. Still unrecorded in TATR. A true indicator of healthy dry deciduous forests.

Tigress T7_f_S2_f from TATR has been safely translocated to Sahyadri Tiger Reserve to boost genetic diversity and support STR’s breeding revival. A successful, coordinated effort by TATR & STR teams. 🐅🌿

WWF-India has provided two radio collars to the Maharashtra Forest Department to enhance monitoring of wild elephants in TATR’s buffer zone. The collars were handed over by Mr. Sanket Bhale to Chief Wildlife Warden Mr. Shrinivas Reddy.
