Sold out of Aberdeen Asia Focus #AAS last week following news that Hugh Young to retire. Made a lot of money from Asian smaller companies in past, especially from Scottish Oriental, but will reinvest this money into Fidelity Asian Values. Nitin Bajaj seems to be a sharp investor

Sold my SIPP holding in JPM Pacific fund last week and will reinvest into separate Japan and Asia trusts. Probably Nippon Active Value #NAVF and Pacific Assets Trust #PAC. Just think it makes more sense to separate out Japan and other emerging Asian countries with specialists

Came across an interesting fund a couple of weeks ago - Orbis Global Balanced Fund. I looking for a multi-asset fund to maybe move away from Capital Gearing #CGT. No fixed fee but only take a fee if they outperform their benchmark. Performance has been great as well.

Sold out of #HGT HG Capital today and reinvested straight into #HVPE Harbourvest Global Private Equity. Seen the discount narrow from 20% to 1% for #HGT and made 34% gain in just over a year. #HVPE still on 40% discount and it’s a good fund.

Been investing for 34 years and today I bought my 1st ever gilt! Just never felt the need before, but now as I almost hit 55 years old, I do feel the need to be more defensive/protective and take less risk. Think I moving to 20% gilts in my SIPPs

Voted against the Saba takeover of #ESCT through interactive investor (ii) Happy with management of this trust, but can’t help but think that this all may be good for the investment trust sector, especially in terms of keeping boards alive to the interests of shareholders.

Sold out of #HVPE yesterday. Still on huge discount but made 17% in 10 months but i wondering what catalyst there could be for narrowing further. Maybe there are too many private equity funds now so the discounts will persist. I still have #OCI #3i #CHRY (which I may also sell)
