A few days ago Simone Pilia deployed a new Guralp Systems Ltd Radian instrument to compare the data to the 3-ESPD we deployed there back in March

Now the data from the firsr service run has been archived, it's now time to start looking at some seismograms from earthquakes that have occurred all around the world and been recorded on seismometers in Sabah!

This mornings ML 3.0 Newdigate earthquake is now on our website: earthquakes.bgs.ac.uk/earthquakes/re…. The very dense local monitoring network we have in the area meant we were able to resolve two very small (<0.0) earthquakes that followed it.

First day in the field and all seems to be working well! We picked up data from 3 seismometers including the one installed on Mt Kinabalu, where data is live streamed to the park HQ

Midway through nBOSS seismometer recovery fieldwork & 23 stations recovered. Rainy season has lived up to its name so far. Teams currently in SE Sabah & heading to the Maliau Basin tomorrow

The nBOSS recovery fieldwork reaches the Maliau Basin & a 6-hr hike through the rainforest to collect the instrument. Lots of leeches!

Part of the team reached the peak of Mt. Kinabalu this morning (via our seismometer) and witnessed a spectacular sunrise.
