I’m in Kremenchuk at the site of the place that was once an Amstar shopping center. 13 people are dead, 25 in the hospital. “People just burned alive,” the interior minister said. I saw a photo of a burned corpse which looked to me that the woman was writhing in agony.

An update on Kupol, the battalion commander who candidly told us about his frustration with poor training of newly mobilized troops and ammo shortages: He was removed from his position of battalion commander in the 46th brigade because of his interview with us.

Irina and Petro evacuated from Bohdanvika on July 1. They’re with their daughter now. 5 people were left in the village. Their house had been destroyed. Petro managed to free some bees. Irina cleaned one last time. They fled with barely anything and the grandchildren’s hamsters.

A sobering but absolutely essential read from Francis Farrell and Natalia Yermak. "They are not lying because they are used to lying; they are lying because everyone fears the order to retake lost positions." kyivindependent.com/as-ukraines-fa…
