Xcel wants to raise electric rates 13%. This comes on the heels of a 9% increase approved just last year. Xcel’s corporate profits continue to be healthy. Meanwhile, Xcel has shut off utility service to 45,000 Minnesota households so far this year. startribune.com/xcel-capital-s…

The intervenor comp program in MN could be so much better. There is no reason to limit the types of proceedings eligible for comp; there is no reason to impose a cap, if the party benefited the record; I'm also worried that it's not permanent and it may sunset.
