We're heading to overtime in this rollercoaster of a game. Gaffney bailed Harvard out with a equalizer with six seconds left in the fourth quarter, ending a six-goal SU run.

For what it’s worth, Syracuse has not won an overtime game under Gary Gait. Don’t know how many exactly but I think it’s about five.

This was quite a doozy. I’m not sure it portended today’s lopsided outcome, but it certainly resembled SU being metaphorically stuck in a blender in the form of Maryland and having no way out. That’s what happened today for SU and what happened to Cooper and I in February.

Tillman meets his alma mater, Cornell, in the national championship for the second time in his coaching career. We’ll see if Maryland can down the Big Red again, like it did in 2022.

College lacrosse runs through central New York once again. Cornell beats Maryland for its fourth-ever NCAA Championship, and first since 1977. A storybook ending on a storybook season.
