2 papers accepted at #UIST2024!š The 1st paper, XR-OŹį“į“į“į“s w/Google AR & VR, introduces šŖAugmented Object Intelligence, an interaction paradigm blurring the lines between digital & physical by equipping real-world objects with the ability to interact as if they were digital:

Proud advisor time! Xiaohang Tang just gave his first #uist presentation on the topic of supporting instructors to manage/interpret in-class students collaborative coding exercises. #UIST2024

The sense of touch is innately private, but what if it could be shared across individuals? We Stanford VR studied shared body sensations in VR and found it increases body illusion and empathy toward others and influences social behavior. #ISMAR2024 švhil.stanford.edu/publications/sā¦

New work: Protecting Human Cognition in the Age of AI, with Anjali Singh Karan Taneja Klara Guan We claim that overreliance on GenAI models disrupt traditional learning pathways. We suggest best practices for better teaching, testing, and learning tools to restore these paths:

Among many reasons, missing Nandi Zhang 's talk is a big one why I feel sad not attending CHI. We ask an interesting question: life seems much easier with AI instructions (especially in-situ in AR), are they actually making us smarter or dumber, how to encourage people to learn?

Thanks to my wonderful advisors Yukang Yan and Ryo Suzuki! I enjoyed every phase of this project and grew through it with a more mature perspective as an HCI researcher.
