It’s been a long time coming but… so happy my Ph.D. work (part of) is now published on Nature Materials 🥳 I remember it all too well about this project, the serendipity and the exciting stories…🧵Jennifer Young Mechanobiology Institute NUSBME NUS nature.com/articles/s4156…

There’s tons out there about fibroblast #mechanobiology in disease. In Confinement Mechanobiology Lab at MBI’s new review in APL Bioengineering, Yeji gives you the who/what/where/when/how/why of mechanosensitive fibroblast activation, from CAFs to FAFs and nearly everything in between! pubs.aip.org/aip/apb/articl…

Interested in a #postdoc on nuclear #mechanobiology? We have a fully funded position in the Confinement Mechanobiology Lab at MBI designed to help you meet your career goals while researching the rapidly growing field of cellular #confinement. Please get in touch for more info!

2nd paper from Mechanobiologics Lab is out in Journal 'Small' Advanced Portfolio News. This work led by my 1st PhD student Alka. Superb collaboration with Andrew Holle & Rudra Pratap CeNSEatIISc. We discovered how confined spaces in tissue reduce tumor cell killing upon ultrasound treatment.

A hybrid ECM-hydrogel with tunable mechanical stiffness and biochemical composition of young or aged cardiac tissue is used to identify the specific contributions of ECM ligands and mechanics for fibroblast aging. Jennifer Young nature.com/articles/s4156…

Check out our lab's latest review by 𝑭𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑺 Mechanobiology Institute NUSBME in Current Opinion in Cell Biology Elsevier | ScienceDirect 🔗sciencedirect.com/science/articl… We teamed up w/Brian Aguado UC San Diego Bioengineering to highlight region- & sex-specificity of #ECM signaling in the aging heart!🫀 Hope you enjoy!

Hot off the press!📢 New review from our lab led by Dr HuanTing Ong & Sriram w/Hepi Hari Susapto @confinementlab Andrew Holle & Elnathan lab @deakin in Advanced Materials Advanced Portfolio News We discuss #mechanobiology in cell engineering & manufacturing Check it out!👇 advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ad…
